Join the Serve the City Team at the 20K of Brussels!

Get ready to hit the streets of Brussels! The 20K of Brussels is taking place on Sunday 25th May, and Serve the City is once again putting together a team of runners.

Once again, our running team is lacing up to support the Donate Your Lunch campaign, working to provide 40,000 meals for our city’s homeless population. Run with us and be part of building a more supportive community for everyone in Belgium!

Raise funds for Donate Your Lunch

All donations to Donate your Lunch will support Lunch 4 All, our initiative that provides hot meals to those in need.

Every week, 52 weeks a year, Serve the City and Community Kitchen work together to prepare and deliver over 5,000 nutritious meals to the Humanitarian Hub in Brussels. Each meal costs just €1.25 — a small amount on its own, but when you multiply that by 5,000 meals each week, the total becomes significant.

As a Serve the City runner, you are now part of our team and can help make a real difference. Become an ambassador for the Donate Your Lunch campaign and help us raise the funds needed to continue this vital work. Every step you take counts — let’s run together to create lasting impact!

How Serve the City will assist me to fundraise for Donate Your Lunch

Once you register as a runner, you will receive a little fundraising pack including things like:

  • Social media badge
  • Fundraising email & message template to share with your network asking to support you and Serve the City (as your selected charity to run with).
  • Email signature
  • Ideas of fundraisers that you can easily do! (E.g. sharing your training stats and asking your network to donate 10 EUR per run kilometre!)
Is it compulsory to fundraise if I run with Serve the City

It is not compulsory to fundraise as a runner, but as you will be a part of our team, we encourage you to fully embrace your role of Serve the City ambassador and challenge your network to give too!

Are the donations to Serve the City elegible for a tax deduction

Serve the City is a non-profit organisation recognised by the Belgian government. So, if you pay taxes in Belgium, you are eligible for a tax deduction of 45% of your donations during the fiscal year. In other words if you donate €120 over a year, you get back €54 in taxes. Meaning it only really costs you €66!

In order to properly inform the Ministry of Finances about your donation, we will need your full address and your national number. You can write it on the donation form, or send it by email to privacy@servethecity.be.
