Today, eight volunteers were headed to the Afghan Squat with cakes baked with love, with activities for children and mothers, with the thought to brighten up their day.
The moment we entered the squat we noticed that people were worried, agitated and on the run. They just got the news that they need to leave the squat this weekend or Monday morning police will come to evict them. After another seven evictions since summer, this time they chose to leave the squat willingly, without police intervention, because the children are already traumatized.
